Monster Masquerade

for Cello Ensemble and Latin Percussion

This piece is scored for a three-part cello ensemble (with an optional obligato part) and a small battery of Latin percussion instruments -- a cowbell, egg-shaker (or maracas), and claves. Each part is repetitive, and the piece can be put together with minimal rehearsals. The various parts are also graded in difficulty, so it works perfectly for a teacher's entire studio to play together. "Monster Masquerade" is dedicated to my son, Nick (at the time 8 years old), and premiered by him and cello students of the Indianapolis Academy of Music.
