House of Untold Horrors was written for the annual Halloween Concert of the Indiana University String Academy. The piece is basically a silly version of a haunted house story, with sound effects provided by the cellos. The ensemble is divided into three parts. The most difficult part is intended for players whose ability is comparable to late Suzuki Book 1, and the easiest part is playable by students who do not yet use the bow or the left hand for fingering. So what can they actually play? Listen to the piece and find out!
